Saving Lena and her leg!

So many people help save lives every day.
This sweet girl, Lena, came to us from another shelter where she was at risk for euthanasia due to a broken leg. We’re not sure how the leg was broken, but we were able to work with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Nicole Mayne of Wildflower Veterinary Surgery to determine the best course of care for her. After reviewing Lena’s x-rays, Dr. Mayne determined that the break was healing so well the dog would not need orthopedic surgery and the leg could heal in the split! We’re so happy we could work with a village of animal welfare folks to save Lena’s life, save her leg, and get her ready to live her best life yet in a new home.
