Clear the Shelters is August 1-31, 2023!

August 1-31 is Clear the Shelters month, a national movement designed to bring attention to the thousands of homeless animals across the country waiting in shelters to be adopted. The Clear the Shelters campaign is spearheaded by NBCUniversal Local and was inspired by a 2014 North Texas pet adoption event hosted by local-affiliate NBC and Telemundo stations and dozens of area shelters that resulted in the most adopted pets in one day for North Texas.
We will have specials Sunday through Tuesday all month to help pets find their homes!- Sunday Specials: all adult cats (1 year and older) will have a $25 adoption fee
- Marathon Mondays: For some shelter pets, the journey to finding just the right home is long but worth it! All Mondays in August, adoption fees will be 50% reduced to help our longtimers cross that finish line – dogs who have been at the shelter for 2 weeks or more, and cats for 1 month or more.
- Treasure Tuesdays: the first adopter of the day will get a free t-shirt, and all adopted pets will go home with a free item!
