Friends of Strays closures for Storm Idalia

Due to the inclement weather expected with Tropical Storm Idalia once it strengthens to a hurricane, we have some closure announcements:

• Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 29, Pinellas Cats Alive intake will be closed for the rest of the week. The program will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 5.
• The shelter will close at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, so we can prep the shelter. The shelter will remain closed Wednesday, Aug. 30. We plan to reopen Thursday, if conditions are safe to do so. (The shelter will also be closed Sunday, Sept. 3, and Monday, Sept. 4, for Labor Day).
• If you're out and about with your own preparations and want to help, we would appreciate donations of water or sandbags before we close!
